The 2021 school year began at the “Enrique Rodríguez Loeches” University Center of Jagüey Grande in person
in its modalities of courses by meeting and at a distance, with a rigorous protocol against COVID-19.

 The university in Jagüey Grande emerged in 2002 as part of the universalization of education program created
by the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz. Thousands of professionals have been trained
in its classrooms.

The Jagüey Grande university headquarters develop the professional training process in the careers of
Agronomy, Bachelor's Degree in Primary and Preschool, Sociocultural Management for development, Physical
Culture, Law, Economy and Finance, and Tourism.
